Advising BMAT on the acquisition of a majority stake in Metro Media System
RCD advised BMAT, a global music innovation company, on the acquisition of a majority stake in the leading Italian software company Metro Media System (MMS), which monitors music radio broadcasts.
In May 2023, the firm also advised BMAT on the acquisition of the business of Italian company AD Control, a pioneering company in the detection and certification of radio advertising campaigns.
These acquisitions bring together the two major Italian industry leaders specialised in TV and radio advertising monitoring. The alliance integrates a combination of knowledge, experience, and skills in AD Control and MMS, which represents a strategic leap to lead the Italian market in advertising artificial intelligence, as well as enabling its global expansion.
A team led by David Villa and Júlia Rousaud, Partner and Associate, respectively, of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department, advised BMAT on both transactions.
