Proof of this are the recent additions of Federico Belausteguigoitia, as a new partner of the Corporate and Energy/Aviation practice areas, and of José María Pastrana, as a partner in the Corporate and Financial Law practice area. These are two professionals with extensive experience in the commercial field that will strengthen this area of the firm, one of the most outstanding in the transactions market according to the main rankings of the sector.

Belausteguigoitia has extensive experience in advising on corporate law matters as well as M&A and commercial contracts, with a special focus on commercial aviation and energy sector. In the energy sector, he advised on a great amount of investment and disinvestment transactions in renewable assets, as well as on the acquisition and/or sale of licenses, permits and authorizations for the construction of renewable energy facilities. In the field of aviation, Federico has provided recurrent advice to airlines, service providers (handling, catering, fuel suppliers, etc.) and other companies in the negotiation of contracts for their activity in Spain, as well as in relations with regulatory bodies and consumer authorities. Likewise, Federico built part of his career as in-house Legal counsel for Iberia Airlines.

Federico Belausteguigoitia holds a degree in Law from the University of Deusto and holds a master's degree in Legal Advice for Companies from Instituto de Empresa. Furthermore, he is part of the Association of Air Transport Companies.

The firm has also incorporated José María Pastrana as a partner of the Corporate and Finance Area, who has more than 15 year of experience in the field of M&A, commercial contracts, renewable energies and listed companies. His professional practice is international in scope, advising foreign entities in their acquisition transactions in Spain and intervening in matters relating to a wide range of economic sector, especially in the financial sector, including restructuring operations, the sale and purchase of business units, loan portfolios and real estate assets belonging to financial entities, among other areas.

Pastrana holds a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and a master's degree in Legal Advice of Companies from IE Business School. Moreover, he is a professor of Commercial Law at the Cardenal Cisneros University, and is also author and collaborator in several legal publishing houses.
